This is a unique opportunity to work closely with and be trained by the Founder/Owner of the company to take over his role and ultimately become a member of the Leadership Team and an owner of the company. Triangle Ecycling is a social impact small business (an LLC and a sister company 501(c)(3)) based in Durham. It was founded in 2011 and has been profitably in operation since that time with the mission of “Helping to make Durham smarter, cleaner and more equitable.”
We have 12 employees including a strong 5 person leadership team that manages operations and sales. The owner oversees the company’s finances, operations and brings in new clients. The business of the company is the collection, refurbishing, sales and recycling of computers and other electronics. In 2023 we will collect, refurbish and sell, donate or recycle over 10,000 computers. We will recycle more than 145 tons of ewaste, keeping it out of landfills and providing a free recycling drop off service for hundreds of community members. We are closely aligned with Durham and Chapel Hill Public Schools, do their computer recycling and have been providing semester long internships to high school juniors and seniors for 11 years with more than 150 graduates. We work closely with dozens of Triangle nonprofits supplying computers and education to promote Digital Equity. Lean more at triangleecycling.com.
The Founder/Owner is a JD/MBA who is approaching retirement and looking for a bright, outgoing MBA that can take over his role in the business. Initially there will be a base salary and commission and over time the opportunity to be an owner of the company. There is truly no limit on the growth or revenue potential of this business. We are seeking a person who wants to play a large part in growing a company that plays a meaningful role in the community. You should be looking to make a long term commitment to being a major player in the Durham/Triangle business and nonprofit community. The electronics recycling industry is global and the potential for growth extends from RTP to China.
