In this role you will exhibit strong communication skills, an analytical mind-set, and a desire to develop themselves taking on new challenges. The overall job will be to drive the analysis that will support our long-term strategy, strategic initiatives, planning and governance. You will be responsible for supporting activities that are strategically critical to optimizing current portfolio offerings and defining solutions that create new flexible models aligned to market requirements. Working with leadership, you will develop solutions and pricing that deliver against Wiley’s financial targets and strategic objectives.
How you will make an impact:
Work with Operations leadership to model operational and financial impact of extended business and growth opportunities at the existing portfolio of partners.
Strategically partner with and support business development through qualitative and quantitative storytelling for new partnerships.
Support development and refinement of standardized models as the business expands internally.
Work with the business to create and maintain pipeline of opportunities for each product suite.
Support analysis of data and development of financial models related to potential acquisitions.
Ad hoc projects, as applicable, for partner and operational analysis, new project initiatives and integration efforts.
We are looking for people who:
Role will be based in Chicago, IL.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or graduate degree in management, business, or finance a plus.
5+ years in consulting or strategic planning in a mid to large organization.
Experience in finance or analytics related field, and experience working with upper level leadership.
Strong problem-solving skills, business modelling and Excel acumen, quantitative data skills, internal and/or external consulting skills.
Data-driven, curious, detail-oriented, self-starter, and strong sense of urgency.
