Description

Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for seasonal budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and in-season expense management. This associate will leverage functional expertise to provide operational leaders insights and identify risks/opportunities to their business. The position is expected to perform ad hoc analysis, support the development of presentation materials for executive leadership, and continuously identify opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages preparation of statements indicating the financial position of the business
  • Manages monthly forecasts and monthly close, including accruals and variance explanations
  • Manages robust allocation model including validation and monitoring of expense splits between VS&Co and BBW as well as channel views for VS&Co
  • Supports annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning process
  • Provides analysis of areas requiring attention and/or further understanding
  • Develop financial models and reports that are flexible, accurate, and clearly present key findings and assumptions
  • Perform business, financial, and operational analysis to help influence management decision-making, including benchmarking
  • Develop materials and present slides in monthly meetings with executives
  • Ensure the achievement of financial objectives and analyze business issues and opportunities
  • Works with operating partners to manage in-season expense spending to ensure compliance with budgeted targets
  • Cross functionally collaborate with business partners to review and/or analyze financial and non-financial information
  • Understand business drivers to support cross-functional partners with in season and future planning
  • Perform ad hoc and special project analysis as directed

Must possess the ability to:

  • Mine for areas of opportunity to streamline processes to enable continued productivity increases
  • Manage multiple work streams concurrently while effectively prioritizing them
  • Comfortably present business results, analysis and recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leaders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Advanced degree, CPA or MBA desirable
  • 3 to 5 years of financial analysis experience, specifically in the areas of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis.
  • Retail or IT experience strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to build partnerships across functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint (Hyperion Planning a plus) with exposure to automation and other productivity tools
