What you will be doing:
Participating in the team that oversees SEC Reporting and preparation and review of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Drives accounting research and industry topics as needed. Oversees certain tasks involved within the month-end financial close compliance and governance activities. May help to lead the point of view for accounting treatment for any significant transactions and potential involvement in transactional due diligence. Supports business partnering and cross-functional business projects aimed at delivering the maximum strategic value and continuous improvement, which includes automation and digitization projects. Provides support to colleagues and fellow staff members.
Business acumen: General understanding of economic trends along with curiosity in the drivers of market changes. Applies critical thinking skills and exhibits sound judgment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in US GAAP and general accounting guidelines and industry standards. Proficient in SAP/BPC, MS Office and other software applications and computer tools.
Project Management: Establishes priorities and deadlines, assesses resources and defines next steps.
Financial Analysis: Demonstrates high proficiency in financial and accounting knowledge. Analyzes situations, draws conclusions, and makes decisions based on business and financial information.
Communication Skills: Ability to express thoughts and findings clearly and succinctly (both written and orally); tailors communications for different audiences; listens well and effectively contributes to discussions; makes technical points understandable.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
Three or more years of public accounting experience
CPA or MBA preferred
