Full Job Description
The purpose of this advanced financial position is to be responsible for, and coordinate complex and advanced processes that impact the OHSU-entity such as annual operating budgets, quarterly financial forecasts, biweekly and daily labor reporting, monthly volume and financial reporting, labor accrual analysis, biweekly workload validation, within all OHSU Hospitals & Clinics. Consistent independent performance of the knowledge around information to perform successful data imports and create complex data queries for reconciliations and variance analyses. Reports must be produced that are accurate spanning an audience of Healthcare VPs, Senior Executive Leaders, Directors and University partners. There is also a responsibility to provide 1:1 and small group customer financial education and training related to above processes. These meetings can be in combination with the manager and/or teammates if necessary.
Function/Duties of Position:
Analyst responsible in coordination of Annual Healthcare Operating Budget and subsequent quarterly rolling forecasts.
Perform ad-hoc projects that arise on an “as needed” basis. These projects typically serve high-level customers, most commonly the Healthcare CFO and VP of Hospital Finance.
Lead analyst responsible for complex financial reporting and database maintenance related to Monthly Volume/Workload Statistics for all OHSU Healthcare Departments & Clinics to incorporate Health System statistics as necessary.
Lead analyst responsible for the creation, maintenance and workflow management of the monthly financial close report packet used in accordance with the Monthly Close meeting in which data is presented to the Healthcare CFO.
Lead analyst responsible for the creation, maintenance, evaluation workflow management and distribution of monthly financials for management reporting purposes.
Lead analyst responsible for maintaining financial system Healthcare ORG dimensions. This involves interfacing with Healthcare Accounting Manager regarding new/disabled ORGs and departmental leaders regarding changes in leadership/reporting structure, etc. to maintain Axiom database that drives numerous HFS functions within Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
If from a related field, candidate must have 18 hours of accounting courses from an accredited
college or university. All candidates must be highly proficient with the use of computers, including
database and spreadsheet applications (pivot tables, macros, embedded formulas, for example); AND
All candidates must have 5 years of professional healthcare and/or relevant financial analysis
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
MBA or other related graduate degree
Axiom/Kaufman Hall/Syntellis suite, Webi, Cognos, Oracle Experience
Specific AMC healthcare financial modeling/budgeting and performance reporting
