As a Procurement Process Analyst 2 or 3 at NW Natural, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for adopting leading practices, streamlining procurement processes and enhancing strategic procurement activities.
Areas of Focus:
Analytics Lead – lead analysis & communication in support of the Category Management and Buying teams, Metrics
Procure to Pay Lead – in-house P2P technology and process improvement expert
Leading Practices Champion – provide support in maintaining policy procedures, education for procurement/key stakeholders and implementation of leading practices
DEI Lead – lead procurement efforts to evolve program to a level of best-in-class Day to Day:
Support Category Leaders in developing and executing Category strategies
Conduct financial, demand and supply market analysis, and interact with business leaders to support the Category Leaders in the development of Category strategies
Interact directly with vendor and internal business leaders for day-to-day activities
Continuously gather business intelligence on category-specific sourcing best practices and summarize/share with Category Leaders
Build knowledge/credibility within assigned categories – bring new and actionable category-specific insights to Category Leaders based on knowledge of category best practices and trends
Conduct spend analytics and other analysis including ROI, IRR, ROE; use data to influence change and build strong ROI, IRR, ROE to ensure shareholder returns, support contract negotiations, and strategic decisions
Conduct financial and technical analyses of business activities, including the development of operating budgets, and preparation of monthly variance analyses.
Model, monitor, and report trends in underlying cost drivers
Lead in the maintenance, implementation and education concerning company contracts policy, templates and procurement procedures.
Develop presentations and reports and present analysis results to various managerial levels including senior management and executive staff.
Lead development, maintenance and communication of dashboards, KPIs and metrics; including analysis and reporting of all savings tracking and reporting activities, developing procedures and tools to support the process
Conduct other (frequently cross-functional) projects as assigned
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders; develop and maintain effective and proactive communication reinforcing strategic and tactical plans Come on your first day with:
Demonstrated experience in strategically supporting data-driven cross-functional efforts and managing communications with diverse set of stakeholders
Understanding and application of sourcing policies, procedures, and supply strategies
Capable of coordinating across business units and sharing critical information, with a strength in explaining complex concepts and coaching individuals through complex decision-making
Capable of managing deadlines and balancing multiple priorities
Able to speak and present effectively to peers and Senior Management
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to leverage networks and relationships
Capable of influencing and motivating others with new ideas and concepts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, able to collaborate with teams who are globally dispersed
Take initiative to learn, seek out development opportunities to improve skills and organizational performance, and increase knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), SharePoint and data management software (SAP preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or Consulting.
Professional certification in supply chain/procurement management/MBA/MSFA preferred
Minimum three years’ of financial and operational analysis experience required for Level 2 position. Minimum five years’ of financial and operational analysis experience in a related job required for Level 3 position.

Base salary range: $71,550.00 – $99,050.00 or Level 3 $84,950.00 to $117,600.00 per year, depending on qualifications
