WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As our Insights & Analytics Manager for North America Marketplace Operations, you will use your end to end business understanding and leadership skills to bring Marketplace Operations insights, analytics and performance management capabilities to the next level. Your responsibilities will extend from establishing a strategy through driving solutions to using the results to help manage business performance. An area of focus will be on insight delivery – this involves supporting strategic projects as well as ad-hoc analysis that can be translated into immediate business action!
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will use the current analytics tools and data, conduct your own deep dive analysis and identify business requirements for future analytical processes! We collaborate with the Advanced Analytics and Reporting/Data Enablement Teams. This will be the key to your success to drive speed to market decisions. You will build and lead a strong direct and virtual team of analysts to support all functions in Seasonal Execution, Integrated Account teams, Nike Direct & Digital Teams. You will partner with peers in Global Operations and across Geographies to influence Nike’s long term performance management strategy and operating model.
You will create and use information visibility to take our supply chain and order book performance to the next level. You will enable faster decision making through improved information visibility, supporting our senior leaders in making business decisions required to meet annual and quarterly targets. Your work will span from target setting through performance management to root cause and action. You will deliver visibility to strategic and cross-functional impact of metrics and key indicators. As our information foundation becomes available, you’ll further improve understanding of profitability, inventory and service impacts through development of analytical models that evaluate trends, scenarios, and play out simulation results.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You’ll establish a forward looking and meaningful view of North America MPO cross functional analytics needs. You’ll work across the MPO organization to understand needs, challenges, and existing solutions to advise your strategy for the future. You will use your entrepreneurial instinct, broad knowledge of business and Business Intelligence expertise to find new, untapped ways to nimbly provide useful information to support fact based decision making.
Representative projects include:
Monitoring supply chain performance and root cause analysis
Improving Forecasting capabilities through simulation and application of open source frameworks.
Developing an analytics roadmap based on partner analysis and Consumer needs
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
You must be a self-starter, flexible problem solver, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable learning quickly and connecting the dots to help drive business opportunities. You will need those skills as you work across multiple functions including Planning, DC Operations, Tech, Transportation, and Finance among others. Success will depend on your ability to quickly form relationships with colleagues and aim to deliverables.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field (an additional 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree). MS/MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience with an emphasis on business reporting and analytics required.
Experience managing and leading a team.
Strong technical and analytical skillset required. Proficient in data wrangling and cleansing, optimization, simulation, and statistical analysis.
Professional skill level in Excel and SQL as well as familiarity with Tableau, R, SAS, Cognos, or Python. Familiarity with big data environments is preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated ability to sift through large amounts of data, identify critical information, develop hypotheses, apply relevant techniques, perform rigorous analyses quickly and consistently and make recommendations.
Experience, interest, and adaptability to working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to communicate complex concepts to senior and business audiences.
Strong Agile experience balancing multiple project streams and delivering results across cross-functional teams. Propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented manner.
Demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly and independently.
Demonstrated ability to use data to influence decision making.
Ability to develop strong partnerships across a multi-layered organization required.
