Full Job Description
The Director, Account Management leads and manages the Account Management team to reach revenue objectives while working within approved budgets. Directs client management while cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships to support business retention and growth strategies. Strategically engages team to help identify and develop solutions to meet client needs and ensures client contract requirements are met. Develops new business from existing clients and seeks new sales opportunities. In partnership with the Executive Director, directs department budget development, forecasting and expense management processes. Responsible for department billing and collections through timely and accurate invoicing. Directs the contract management process ensuring timeliness, standardization, quality and results are met.
- Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance and resources. Determines staff qualifications and competency: recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
- Identifies and develops client business areas to grow revenue and increase market share including identifying key customer groups, building awareness of products and services, and helping to identify new product development. Helps team to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Screens potential business proposals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements (both internal and external), potential growth projections and financial impact. Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Directs contract process with respect to requirements, timeliness, standardization, quality and results. Negotiates contracts and works with stakeholders to ensure contracts meet institutional requirements.
- Directs department budget development, forecasting and expense management processes. Facilitates financial reporting and forecasting to identify and measure department KPIs. Analyzes and makes recommendations for expenditures, supplies, equipment and revenues. Responsible for client budget development, forecasting and management.
- Directs department billing and collections through timely and accurate invoicing. Directs the collections process to ensure all revenue is received.
- Proactively manages client performance guarantees and ensures contractual obligations are fulfilled. Identifies client issues and engages appropriate stakeholders in problem resolution.
- Manages vendors for Health Initiatives and ensures contracts are in place with competitive pricing and accurate billing.
- Prepares documents, information and/or presentations to support requests for proposals (RFPs) and other opportunities for new business growth.

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business administration, management, finance or a related discipline required. MBA preferred.
- Work Experience: A minimum of five years recent and related work experience in a management role required. Account management experience preferred. Health care experience a plus.

Salary Range: $115,000- $125,000
