Reporting to the Finance Executive Director of US Oncology, this Associate Director role will work extensively with the US Oncology commercial team as a key financial and strategic business partner to support the goals and growth of the Oncology business.
This role will focus on key tumor families within our Oncology portfolio. The US Oncology Finance team has end-to-end financial responsibilities in an increasingly dynamic and growing Oncology franchise.
The Associate Director is expected to develop an understanding of operations across the Human Health (HH) Oncology organization. While marketing and commercial background is not essential, a successful candidate will have intrinsic curiosity about the Human Health organization, a passion for learning, and the ability to effectively communicate a financial narrative to leadership. Given the size of our Oncology portfolio and the diversity of functions supporting it, the position requires an enterprise mindset and the ability to navigate across a broad set of networks.
Partner with the US Oncology team for financial revenue forecasting including pre-launch, post-launch and competitive scenario analysis to assess key business decisions and strategies
Manage business unit planning and finance activities (Actuals, Budget, LROP, and other forecasts) while ensuring proper linkage with the Global Oncology CBL and US Pharma
Partner with marketing, sales, operations, market access, market research and other teams to assess business performance and drive growth
Evaluate financial performance and measurement capabilities to provide financial insights, analytics and presentations to SVP of US Oncology and Oncology Leadership Team
Deploy portfolio and investment optimization in support of new product/tumor launches and existing product lines
Support analyses for business development, investor relations and working capital
Collaborate with other Finance functions (i.e. US Pharma Finance, CCM, OMC, US Controllers) to ensure a transparent, seamless support model for the US Oncology organization
Collaborate with Distribution, Operations and Demand Planning functions for demand forecasting and product rationalization
Participate and/or lead special projects and initiatives for US Oncology
Education Minimum Requirement:
BS/BA degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics, or MBA with concentration in these areas
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
Quick learner with proven track record and demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment
Must possess strong communication, analytical, organizational and collaboration skills
Must be able to deliver high quality, impactful results for multiple projects under tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including executive management
Strong financial acumen and a mindset of process optimization
Willingness to learn the Oncology business and market dynamics
Preferred Experience and Skills:
CPA or MBA
Demonstrated client facing experience, commercial exposure, or cross-functional team.
Knowledge of financial systems, planning and reporting
