The Solutions Consultant II reports to the Director, Solutions Consulting as a member of the MUSC Information Solutions Consulting Team. Under limited supervision, the Solutions Consultant II provides client facing, consultative, business relationship management services to MUSC leaders and teams, serving as their primary liaison to Information Solutions’ (IS) service offerings. As a business relationship manager, the Solutions Consultant II partners with business/clinical domain(s) to stimulate, surface, shape and capture business demand. This role also partners with Information Solutions (IT, Informatics, and Analytics) leaders to advocate level for the value its service offerings provide throughout the enterprise. The Solution Consultant II is responsible for ensuring IS services are in alignment with enterprise, entity, and domain specific strategy and goals to maximize business/clinical performance and achieve success. This role is responsible for identifying existing, and conceptualizing innovative, solutions and/or services to address the unique objectives of specific business relationship domain(s), and of the overall enterprise. The Solutions Consultant II ensures maximum value is realized by the business/clinical domain, and that services are routinely evaluated for satisfaction and for potentially enhancing capabilities.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree in either a clinical or business discipline (accounting, finance, information systems, statistics, informatics, etc.) from an accredited college/university required; Master degree in a relevant discipline (MBA, MHA, etc.) highly preferred. A minimum of 3 years of work experience with information systems, informatics, analytics, healthcare or other related consulting, operations or project management expertise required. A strong understanding of the healthcare and/or academic/research, and the application of IT, informatics, and/or analytics in a large healthcare organization is preferred. Experience and/or certification(s) related to Business Relationship Management, ITIL, Organizational Change Management and/or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Business Relationship Management certification required within one year.
