The Champions Senior Financial Analyst – Finance Business Partner is an integral member of our FP&A team providing support to Kindercare’s fastest growing brand. This role will support the new business development team, as well as the Field Operations team, to drive continued brand growth and operational efficiencies in our sites across the United States. This Business Partner will assist in maximizing new business opportunities through market research and pro forma creation, while also partnering with field leaders to drive organic growth and P&L management to ensure financial targets are met.
Key responsibilities include:
In additional to strong financial knowledge, the Business Partner must have a demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others in a matrixed environment. In order to demonstrate success in role, the Business Partner must combine “left-brain” quantitative analysis and “right-brain” creative thinking while working closely with field leaders on budgeting and forecasting in a fast-paced environment.

Understand and influence quality of data across systems
Intellectual curiosity to research and identify root cause of variances
Ability to establish unique point of view and participate in cross-functional decision making
Utilize storytelling to communicate financial message across diverse audiences
Strong knowledge of profit and loss management, and working knowledge of statistical analysis (multi-unit retail experience preferred)
Strong understanding of financial reporting software; specifically Oracle, TM1/Cognos, and Hyperion. (Anaplan and Intermediate level skills in MS Access a plus)
Key desired skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or related field and a minimum of 2 year related experience. MBA degree a plus
Experience in generating proforma financial statements
Experience providing investment opportunity analysis
Proven ability to work with partners, research variances, develop forecasts and analyze trends to achieve budget
Ability to understand and build financial and operational dashboards; specifically experience with Oracle, TM1/Cognos, and Hyperion strongly preferred. (Anaplan and intermediate level skills in MS Access a plus)
Experience reporting and modeling sales commissions
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Working knowledge of accounting principles
Ability to interact with various levels of management and develop excellent working relationships inside and outside of the department
Intermediate level skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
Detail orientated with high attention to quality and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Ad hoc projects, reporting, and modeling will be expected
Opportunity to present information and/or conduct trainings to small groups
