Role: HPS Clinical Strategies Team – Financial Analyst, Pipeline Forecasting

Responsibilities
- Partners with pharmacists, business professionals and actuaries in a team environment
- Researches and analyzes drugs and emerging therapeutics, including financial forecasts on the web and works with pharmacists to develop an internal financial forecast for the company
- Continuously monitors relevant publicly available news/developments in the pharmaceutical sector, performing any ad hoc analyses and generating insights
- Updates corporate trend metrics on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- Supports pharmacy trend management by conducting and analyzing drug spend, utilization and market share analyses, updating and distributing presentations/reports, drafting communications, etc.
- Assists with key business partner communications process –e.g. Medwatch
- Prepare, produce, and deliver spreadsheets, documents, publications, presentations, and communication materials
- Supports tracker maintenance (pipeline)
- Develops appropriate analyses and metrics to deliver process improvements and business results
- Creates and documents processes and training materials as needed

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree ideally in finance, accounting or similar field
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Intermediate or advanced level user with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent working knowledge of MS PowerPoint required, MS Access and SQL are a plus
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Ability to identify, collect, and analyze relevant data in order to draw conclusions
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years’ experience in a health services or technical field (finance, forecasting, actuarial)
- MBA, CPA or CFA a plus
- A thorough understanding of financial analysis, equity research and the investment process a plus
- Previous experience in trend analysis a plus
