Position Summary:
In a newly created role at a growing company, the Financial Analyst will support efforts to turn data into information to drive organic growth and profitability. The role will provide financial support through budgeting, forecasting, data analysis, internal reporting and financial modeling. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this position will build relationships across the company to understand the business and support decision making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing annual SG&A Budget and updating monthly forecasts
- Track monthly spending against plan, analyzing results for cost savings opportunities
- Review monthly SG&A and COR expenses for proper cost center allocation, prepare correcting journal entries as needed
- Produce monthly management reports summarizing actual results against plan
- Assist with preparation of the monthly Operations package
- Facilitate regular inter departmental reviews of capex spending decisions
- Various Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years Finance. MBA a plus.
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to extract large data sets and manipulate / analyze
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to partner with business leaders and develop strong working relationships
- Ability to work across the organization to define and implement new financial processes
- Excellent organizational skills, with extreme attention to detail, accuracy and accountability
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to multiple demands and shifting/competing priorities, and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment
