IMG Media is the division of Endeavor that advises and negotiates media deals on behalf of the world’s top sports and entertainment organizations. Clients include the NHL, NASCAR, MLB, NFL, US professional sports franchises, MLS, Wimbledon, Major Golf tournaments, Tennis Grand Slams, and other global media rights holders.

Endeavor is seeking a Strategy Associate to join the IMG Media North American media team. In this position, you’ll find yourself working within the group’s strategic advisory & consulting practice to support a variety of sports and entertainment media business activities. You will be exposed to all elements of deal negotiation, valuation, and client strategy across the division’s advisory business.

The role will place a particular emphasis on client deal negotiation support, business development strategy, media rights valuation, and deal analysis/modeling/analytics. This candidate should be passionate and curious about the sports and entertainment media industry. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, analytical, driven by strategic thinking, a good team player, and able to operate within an agile & fast paced environment. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to influence and be a part of the industry’s leading media advisory practice.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support senior department leads on deal negotiations, strategy, and valuations.

  • Look after financial modeling and development of business plans for clients and division strategy.

  • Conduct research to support media and client development (includes primary as well as liaising with Endeavor Analytics – our in house analytics division).

  • Synthesize strategy, analysis, and analytics into meaningful and inspiring strategic briefs.

  • Help build, shape, and design client presentations (in association with Endeavor creative).

Required Skills:

  • Strong financial and business modeling skills.

  • Ability to clearly articulate strategy and insights.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit to help the team find new and innovative ways of working.

  • Excellent MS Office & other key software skills – specifically Excel, Powerpoint, and Keynote.

  • Strong ability to develop presentation storylines and deck design.

  • Strong multi-tasker capable of managing/working on multiple projects within tight deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree, pre or post MBA.

  • 2-3 years of experience at a consulting firm, financial institution, corporate development function, or a strategy role with valuation and modeling experience at a media/digital/technology company.

  • Prior experience in media, consulting, and business modeling preferred.
