We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Pricing and Operations Analyst to join our team of experienced pricing professionals to support price operations (75% share) and work closely with our business stakeholders to produce meaningful analysis and price recommendations for our SaaS and advertising family of products (25% share). This unique role will allow the successful candidate to learn all the fundamentals aspects of pricing through our operations while at the same time driving insightful data analysis to shape our pricing tactics and strategies in a very competitive marketplace. This role is ideal for a candidate with operations/business consulting experience trying to break into a pricing role, where training, support and a career path in the space will be provided.
What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate will be tasked with managing pricing operations ranging from the project management of complex Salesforce CPQ projects (providing optimal solutioning by working closely with our CRM CPQ team, writing detailed technical CPQ requirements, providing thorough testing supported by a team of dedicated testers, signing off for scheduled CRM releases and providing quality control post-launch) to less complex daily tasks like SKU portfolio management and price sheets updates. The analytical share of this role will range from in depth strategic pricing projects viewed and approved by Cvent senior leadership to regular competitive price optimization and inventory management analysis. The analyst will work very closely with our pricing operations manager in the day to day running of our pricing operations and will leverage his/her strong knowledge of Salesforce (and CPQ, if applicable) and pricing operations. The successful candidate will leverage SQL and Excel modeling knowledge through in depth analysis summarized in clear and concise pricing recommendations, to improve performance.
Hands on pricing operations experience is a must for this role. A good working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ together would be ideal, although training will be considered for the right candidate.
The analyst must be capable of establishing a very collaborative environment with CRM team/sales/marketing/finance/products stakeholders to support the achievement of departmental goals. Experience in a consulting role would be very beneficial in this position but not required.
The role is operationally oriented so constant communication with management/key internal stakeholders and very fast turnaround times will be a must for the candidate to be successful in this role.
What You Need For This Position
- 3-5 years of working experience with Salesforce
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ pricing is highly desirable
- BS in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or business. MBA is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of business or strategy consulting experience
- Top consulting firm experience is a strong plus
- A good working knowledge of pricing operations (price changes, price sheets, communications, pricing terminology)
- Demonstrated Strong experience with SQL data pulls, Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentations
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a fast pacing environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
