YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role within the BRP financial planning and analysis team and reports directly to the Finance Manager overseeing Sales, Marketing, Parts & Accessories. The Senior Analyst is responsible for leading forecasting, planning, and analyzing global performance for their assigned business units. This high visibility role will build strong, positive, and influential relationships with Business Unit leadership while establishing financial controls and guidance.
Lead the monthly forecast and budget preparation for the Alumacraft and Manitou businesses.
Assist in creating monthly financial packages, quarterly performance review presentations of the division.
Provide variance and trend analyses explaining the key performance drivers by product, channel, and geography to business unit leadership.
Work in conjunction with the stakeholder to find solutions and optimize BRP Marine profitability.
Coordinate overhead planning with business department leaders, and train new users to enter forecasts and generate reports in TM1.
Develop strong cross functional relationships with Business Unit leadership and provide business solutions through the interpretation of best practices and data analysis.
Execute improvements in reporting and planning processes to ensure business unit finance teams have a solid understanding of sales, margin, operations, and working capital performance.
Identify and communicate plan/forecast risks and opportunities on a timely basis.
Review, prepare, and reconcile journal entries and perform account analyses.
Assist in Internal Control for generally accepted accounting principles and business activities.
Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and an attitude to initiate change.
Complete special projects as assigned.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Requires 5 years progressive experience in a finance role with a minimum 2 years in a senior financial analyst role.
