Meaningful Work From Day One

The overall responsibility of the Marketing Director is to lead the Marketing Organization in the combined regions. The Marketing Director is a senior leader in the organization and an important member of the regional leadership team. The regional leadership team typically consists of the Managing Director, Finance Director, Human Resources Director, Marketing Director, and key Commercial business leaders.

Specifically, the role is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the Marketing and Portfolio strategies for the region, building the capability of the overall marketing team, and providing leadership to the brand and marketing directors. The role collaborates with multiple internal stakeholders, including the regional and global brand teams and marketing and commercial leaders. The role also works closely with senior leadership at distributor and customer partners. The individual would retain responsibility for agency selection and interface as appropriate to the given market.

What You Can Expect

Strategic Direction

  • Defines long-term marketing strategy for Latin America Region; Including brand, portfolio & consumer strategies, ensuring full alignment with overall Global Marketing/Brands Strategy.

  • Develops marketing strategy.

  • Participates as a member of the Regional Leadership team by providing input and leadership to influence the company’s operations, strategic development, business and portfolio strategies, and special projects as necessary, and reports agreed-upon metrics to the team.

  • Develops long-term brand plans and oversees their integration into annual plans in alignment with the B-F Way of Brand Building.

  • Identifies and evaluates the potential of current / future opportunities in the market, including new categories/brands/acquisitions.

  • Seeks out portfolio development opportunities and synergies.

  • Provides marketing leadership for the region’s long-term strategic planning process.

Marketing Organization Leadership

  • Provides strategic leadership to the LAR marketing teams

  • Ensures that the marketing organization in LAR is structured to effectively deliver against business priorities.

  • Ensures that the capabilities of the marketing teams are developed in line with the global capability framework.

  • Builds a talent pipeline of capable individuals, ensuring a comprehensive succession plan for key marketing roles in LAR.

  • Provides direct people management to direct reports.

  • Responsible for both long-term and annual LAR marketing budget/resource allocation and prioritization.

Internal/External Influence

  • Acts as the primary point of contact and voice of the LAR Marketing teams to the International Marketing Director. Contributes a regional perspective in the development of global marketing strategies and brand plans.

  • Guides and develops key innovation projects and timelines in accordance with B-F processes and key internal stakeholders.

  • Provides expert input on internal and external factors affecting markets.

  • Responsible for relationship, performance, and training of any external agencies (PR, media, and promotion).

  • Provides input into key Area/Country agency appointments.

  • Responsible for ensuring external agencies comply with B-F’s policies.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, marketing, International marketing, or a similar discipline.

  • Significant Marketing experience in both a multi-market portfolio and regional brand marketing roles and prior commercial leadership experience.

  • Record of success in senior Marketing roles in matrix organized International FMCG/luxury products/beverage or image-driven brands business.

  • Strong Business Acumen and professional knowledge of the dynamics of the LAR markets.

  • Excellent leadership skills and people management experience.

What You Can Add to the Team

  • Master’s Degree in Marketing or MBA.
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese
