The Autodesk Corporate FP&A team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in our strategic planning process by helping us design, maintain and enhance the Company’s long-range financial planning model. Developing and maintaining a dynamic, flexible strategic planning model is becoming increasingly important to supporting Company-wide decisions in a complex economic environment. This position will also play an important role in realizing our connected financial planning vision by optimizing the connections between financial models to ensure they are seamlessly aligned while also building new measures and analytics to promote ongoing performance measurement as the business evolves.
This role will partner with go-to-market finance and new business models teams to support scenario analysis, ensure a coordinated approach to financial planning and be an important voice to clearly summarizing the business drivers and impacts of our financial results and projections.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who demonstrates excellent analytical and technical ability, business savvy and communication skills together with experience in financial modeling. - Open to remote candidates within the United States, but preference to Portland or San Francisco based candidates.
Serve as business owner of our Company-wide long-range financial model in Anaplan
Partner with other finance teams to design and develop real-time insights into the assumptions and metrics that support our financial projections
Build reporting and analytics around new measures critical to evaluating the success of our business
Optimize connections to other finance models that either support or are dependent on our long-range model, such as the sales target and cash flow models
Lead our participation on several cross-functional and global finance projects or initiatives that support our long-term strategic goals
Assist in driving our efforts to digitize finance processes throughout the company and realize the “Future of Finance”
Bachelor’s degree required. CPA, CFA and/or MBA preferred
Minimum 4+ years of related finance experience
Experience building financial models and related analyses with Anaplan, PowerBI or similar cloud-based planning/reporting tools
Ability to work cross functionally and as well as independently
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork and building effective relationships
Adept at analyzing and understanding the trends and color within multiple views, including internal/management and external views
Prior experience in a high tech/software organization is a plus
Commitment to ongoing self/skills development, career planning, and work-life balance
Comfort with the cyclicality of the role and the peaks and valleys of the workload, particularly around the quarter-end close
