Responsibilities include category management of assigned commodities, as well identification and implementation of non-category specific sourcing initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Category management responsibilities include market research, strategic sourcing, complex contract negotiation, and strategy compliance, with annual spend levels up to $50mm annually.
Responsibilities include managing a staff of up to 4 associates.
Responsibilities include addressing difficult problems with minimal supervision.
Ensure department duties are performed in accordance with legal, ethical, and policy guidelines. (5%)
Develop, implement, and manage organizational development strategies and talent management initiatives to optimize long term team effectiveness. (10%)
Develop, implement, and manage efficient process workflows to optimize workforce productivity (5%)
Flawlessly execute tactical responsibilities (procure to pay) to consistently meet or exceed business unit requirements as it relates to quality, timing, cost and service. (30%)
Drive value generation activities through the identification and implementation of cost-out and innovation initiatives. (40%)
Manage market intelligence research efforts to ensure category expertise is maintained in all market segments in which AG participates. (10%)
4+ years in related field preferred.
B.A. in Business or equivalent. MBA preferred
