Amazon is seeking a Tax Program Manager to join the Finance Organization and drive significant domestic and international projects.
The Tax Program Manager will be responsible for driving important projects involving cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, legal, HR and tech teams. This position requires regular communication with stakeholders and executive leadership on status, risks and strategy.
The Tax Program Manager will create and manage milestone schedules, create meeting agendas, lead recurring meetings and will be responsible for ensuring critical project dates are met. The Tax Program Manager will also assist the team in identifying areas of process improvement, tracking budgets and providing updates to stakeholder documents. While a deep tax/finance and technical background are not required, familiarity with both domains will be helpful.

A day in the life
A typical day includes creating meeting agendas, attending project meetings, issuing meeting minutes, following up on actions, developing relationships with members across tax and cross-functional teams. The PM will also be tasked with owning recurring tasks such as preparing stakeholder docs, tracking budgets, and looking for ways to improve current processes.
About the team
This role is for a program manager on the North America Consumer Transactional Tax PMO team and will assist in supporting key business initiatives, internal re-organizations and managing operational activities.

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
