Full Job Description

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5+ years of finance experience, or master’s degree and three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Do you want to be part of an organization that is developing and launching new business models across the world? If so, the AMXL operations team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to own and execute high visibility, strategic and revenue generating projects. These projects include building supply chain solutions that are customized for large and heavy items. We need leaders who are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of our quickly expanding customer base.

The Senior Financial Analyst – AMXL will be part of a team focused on Fulfillment operations, where the team has functional responsibilities split between Fixed, Variable, Launch, & 3PL functions. Within this functional support structure, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting Outbound Variable Cost and related productivity metrics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Autonomously partner with multiple stakeholders such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to plan for and ensure attainment of productivity goals

  • Coordinate the cost forecast, which includes understanding and developing forecast timing methodologies

  • Lead variance analysis and provide consolidated narratives for monthly/quarterly business reviews

  • Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to execute ad-hoc projects and analysis, draw conclusions, and present recommendations with little guidance

  • Provide performance reporting with detailed insights and suggested actions

  • Partner with AMXL Supply Chain to analyze current and future opportunities

We seek a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver results. You must have the capability to create and present whitepapers for senior executives, and align roadmaps with Amazon’s strategic objectives. A key to influencing stakeholders is to have the ability to solve complex, technical problems with simple, innovative and practical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You will leverage your education and work experience to lead initiatives to streamline planning/reporting, decide on investments, drive efficiency initiatives, and pursue customer experience benefits in AMXL to drive P&L benefits. The role requires an individual who is willing to work in an ambiguous environment and make a big impact. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing data-based decision making. You continuously look for areas of improvement, and implement automation in order to reduce your manual work load to focus on delivering insights into the business.

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Tableau, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • MBA and/or Professional certifications (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate)
