Building and Sharing Your Career Story

Your career story — the story of how you got to be where you are today, why you are interested in the opportunity and why you would be the perfect fit — is one of the most fundamental communication concepts as you advance your career. 

Mastering this skill will make you stand out from the crowd with your interviews, resumés, networking pitches, and LinkedIn profiles.

At the end of this ZoomShop students will:

  1. Describe a framework to define, craft and present their career story
  2. Create 7 building block stories which they can mentally re-configure on the fly to answer any interview question.
  3. Practice a simple mnemonic device to make those stories come alive differently every time they are told.
  4. Tell their stories which will hook the listener within seconds
  5. Answer the dreaded “Tell me about yourself” question the way the interviewer wants

Pre-requisite(s): None; however strongly recommended that you attend the “Identify Your Superpowers with CareerLeader” session earlier in this bootcamp.  It will make this session easier for you.
