We offer an incredible, connected experience across the Apple ecosystem – iOS, macOS, Apple Watch, tvOS, CarPlay – and are delivering the future of maps to hundreds of millions of customers across the globe. Maps operations uses vendor resources to collections, production and maintenance of maps data. The Vendor Management Organization (VMO) is responsible for coordinating the vendor activities, relationships, strategy and budgets/ forecasting. The vendor manager will be responsible for all aspects of vendor relationships for a portion of Maps operations. If this is your passion, background and experience, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing vendor sourcing, relationships and engagements
- Well-versed in working cross-functionally with compliance, corporate procurement, finance and engineering and operations business unit functions
- Strong negotiations skills
- Experience writing vendor contracts and SOWs
- Strong written & verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Attention to details, data accuracy, and quality of output
- Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Strong Excel skills required.
- Program Management experience is a plus
Description
Role requires working cross-functionally with ops functional leads, finance, procurement, legal etc. Duties includes defining vendor requirements, assist with RFQs, vendor negotiations, vendor selection and manage vendor performance and relationships. Coordinate monthly forecasts and actual spend tracking. Draft contracts and statements of work.
Education & Experience
Bachelors in Business, Engineering or related field. MBA/ Masters degree a plus.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $159,600 and $266,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
