The Opportunity
This position works out of our Des Plaines IL office location in the Molecular division.
The Senior Manager SFE is responsible for ensuring the design, development, implementation and tracking of best-in-class processes, tools and stakeholder deliverables to support the US commercial organization. This position interacts with the DVP of US Commercial, General Managers as well as the entire US Sales and Marketing organizations. This role is responsible for the strategic leadership, vision and direction of the sales force effectiveness function reporting to the commercial director.
What You’ll Work On
- Develop and manage sales force effectiveness tools and reporting.
- Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) and Reporting Tools: Identify industry leading tools and practices to optimize the effectiveness of the sales organization; Develop and implement tools that support account profiling, call tracking, data reporting; Develop and implement targeting and call plans to insure resources are aligned to market needs; Manage sales territory alignments to insure resources are geographically optimized; and Liaison with IT and vendors to identify tools to enhance the productivity of the sales organization.
- Database Management and Reporting: Identify new opportunities to bring data and information into the organization to create a competitive business advantage; Manage vendor contracts and relations for data utilized in IC and SFE; Secure data required to support the business: Prescription, Medical Claims, Affiliation, AMA.
- Manage database integration to insure proper utilization of information; Insure compliance with AMA (PDRP) and state laws governing the use of prescriber data; and liaison with IT on the development and ongoing support of data and tools.
- Sales Incentive Compensation (IC): Monitor and develop competitive industry leading sales compensation programs; Design of IC plans to drive performance in alignment to key business strategies; Gain alignment with DVP and general managers across the US organization on IC plans; Implementation of IC plans to ensure compliance with HR and finance policies; and Management of IC software system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- In sales, marketing or commercial operations/support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize and lead cross functional teams.
- Familiarity with prescription and/or claims data as well as SalesForce.com tools preferred.
- Working knowledge of Big Data, Cloud-based, SFE technologies.

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 – $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
