On August 24th, Firsthand will be hosting its second annual Women in STEM Virtual Career Fair. Women who are studying science, technology, engineering, or math or who are already in STEM roles are encouraged to attend. The fair will allow participants to engage with employers, learn career lessons from experienced professionals, find new and exciting new jobs, and expand their professional network.

The following organizations will be sponsoring the fair and will have representatives on hand at the event for attendees to meet with individually.

Infosys

Infosys was founded nearly half a century ago, and remains a global leader in digital services and consulting. InStep is Infosys’ award-winning internship program for undergraduate, graduate, MBA, and PhD students. The program provides interns with the opportunity to work on new and emerging technologies while they gain international work experience and build global networks.

Abbott Laboratories

Abbott has been on the cutting edge of nutrition products, diagnostic and medical technology, and pharmaceuticals for over 100 years. The firm’s 109,000 professionals work to help people live not just longer, but better-in the more than 160 countries Abbott serves. Abbott’s well-known internship program offers students a meaningful and fulfilling experience, along with next level engineering and healthcare immersion.

Trinity Life Sciences

Trinity is a consulting firm that supports clients that specialize in the biotech and pharmaceutical fields. Scientific Research Corporation

The Women in STEM 2022 Virtual Career Fair will be held on August 24th, 2022 from 11am ET to 3pm ET. College students, recent college graduates, entry-level job seekers, established professionals, and anyone with a background or interest in STEM fields will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from each of the event’s sponsors, along with representatives from a number of other firms.

BDO

BDO is a global accounting and advisory firm and one of the most prestigious CPA firms in the U.S. Its internship program gives students hands-on experience while they work alongside senior managers. Its full-time staff have access to informal coaching, formal mentoring, and extensive training.

Bureau of Ocean Energy Management

Based in Washington, D.C., Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is an agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior. BOEM is looking for candidates with science and engineering backgrounds to help it ensure the safe and environmentally responsible development of U.S. offshore energy and marine mineral resources.

Rincon Research Corporation
